The White Settlement Historical Society invites members, their guests and interested members of the public to attend the meeting of the Society.

Meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. with a short business session, followed by a guest speaker or program, refreshments and conclusion about 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Bill Caldwell, Ph.D., Geologist, will present a power point presentation on “The Stories Fossils Tell” covering unusual and interesting fossils of plant and animal life that lived in the geologic past. He will also delve into the mystery of the extinction of the Dinosaurs.
The guest speaker will bring some fossil samples and discuss the cephalopods or ammonites (similar to a modern chambered nautilus) that people dig up in their yards here in White Settlement from limestone deposits in the Duck Creek Formation of the Lower Cretaceous Period, about 100 million years ago.

Memberships in the White Settlement Historical Society are available for $10 Annual Individual dues and $15 Annual Family dues. Your application for membership will be voted on at the next Historical Society meeting.
